Five soft skills in high demand, this 3rd video is on persuasion. Just imagine you need to persuade someone, what do you do? Though persuasion is convincing someone to do or believe something, they will only do that if they understand and agree with your views.
Important to note, when persuading someone, my/our intentions should be good/worthy/honorable.
These are my thoughts about how to be persuasive:
1. The first one I believe is having empathy. Try and find common ground. Once you have found common ground, you can use this to build trust and find a solution that is good for everyone.
2. It’s all about the confidence that you can solve their problem.
3. Show that you can solve their problem. If you want to reach a new level of success, but you don’t know how to proceed? I first need to gain your trust, then you might want to know more about my approach.
Finally, I do want to stress out that I can only persuade someone if I believe it’s right for everyone.

00:00:00,000 –> 00:00:06,779
I’m delighted to welcome you to today’s
video. LinkedIn recently published a
00:00:06,779 –> 00:00:14,099
survey related to global talent trends.
Highlighting the importance of soft
00:00:14,099 –> 00:00:21,240
skills and, within these soft skills
there are five that in high demand. In my
00:00:21,240 –> 00:00:28,080
previous videos I talked about
creativity, collaboration and, today I’ll
00:00:28,080 –> 00:00:37,460
provide my thoughts about persuasion.
How does persuasion look like for you?
00:00:37,460 –> 00:00:46,110
When are you persuasive? I believe that
the first one if I had to mention three
00:00:46,110 –> 00:00:52,829
the first one is first of all finding a
common ground, being empathetic. Because
00:00:52,829 –> 00:01:02,010
once you have that common ground (convincing your perspective) you are able to find a solution that is right
00:01:02,010 –> 00:01:08,700
for you both so you’re quite persuasive.
The second area would think is important
00:01:08,700 –> 00:01:16,979
to increase your persuasion is being
confident. If you are confident that your
00:01:16,979 –> 00:01:24,840
solution is a product or a service can
solve the problem of your prospect. If
00:01:24,840 –> 00:01:32,549
you feel that confidence (because you know it’s right) you will come over as very persuasive. In the third
00:01:32,549 –> 00:01:41,220
area is that you’re able to show that
you can solve the problem. For that let’s
00:01:41,220 –> 00:01:47,220
say in my business if someone wants to
get to that next level (of success), but doesn’t know
00:01:47,220 –> 00:01:55,579
how to get to that next level. I first
need to gain their trust of that prospect
00:01:55,579 –> 00:02:02,210
to be able then to show how I can get them to that next level (of success).
00:02:02,210 –> 00:02:09,660
Showing them, providing them more
information of how can I help/assist them get
00:02:09,660 –> 00:02:18,470
to that next level in order them to maximize their potential and productivity.
00:02:18,470 –> 00:02:29,819
To conclude I would say persuasion is
good, it’s good certainly if you have a
00:02:29,819 –> 00:02:38,849
common goal (good intentions) or common objective is to reach a solution that is right for
00:02:38,849 –> 00:02:48,359
you both. With that, I hope it was useful
today’s video. If so any comment and like
00:02:48,359 –> 00:02:57,170
so welcome and I look forward to the
next video. All the best and bye for now.
