What do you do?
Sometimes the simplest things can be the most difficult, especially when it comes to answering the question, “What do you do?”
You have probably seen a video of Simon Sinek, where he tells his audience how Apple positions itself. It goes like this: “Everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo. We believe in thinking differently. The way we challenge the status quo is by making our products beautifully designed, simple to use and user-friendly. We happen to make great computers, do you want to buy one?”
In other words, Apple goes from the Why to the How, to the What.
Is it easier to answer to “What do you do”? Could this help you:
1) Who is your customer?
2) What is their problem?
3) What is your plan to solve that problem?
4) What does success look like?
My “introduction” would go like this: “I help Sales Professionals find what makes their heart sing, like that they challenge the status quo. I provide them with a framework, tools & mastermind group that fuels their creativity, confidence and energy, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.”
